Aayushi is a New York City-based musician who graduated from Juilliard School. She started as a self taught songwriter and a guitarist before she moved to the United States to pursue her degree in Jazz Studies at Juilliard on a full tuition scholarship.

Apart from teaching, she has been a part of various projects which were led by people like Christian McBride and Geoffrey Keezer. She currently runs her own band called ‘Summer Children’ and released an album in 2023 called the ‘Secret World’.

Aayushi started teaching right after she graduated and her philosophy with teaching is a mixture of her DIY approach with learning an instrument and understanding music along with the regimented way that she got from studying at a conservatory. She believes that each student needs a personalized curriculum based on their needs, interests and skill levels.
