Heidi is a classically trained pianist, passionate educator, and collaborative artist. From her training in Hong Kong with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) to her doctoral degree from Boston University in Collaborative Piano, Heidi has enjoyed working with musicians and students using the piano in many different ways.

As a performer, Heidi has toured all over Europe, Asia, and the United States both as a solo artist and as part of various chamber ensembles. Her recent performance highlights include Carnegie Hall debut at Zankel Hall and Weill Hall. She has also appeared at Cleveland’s Severance Hall and on the Boston classical music radio station WCRB at Boston’s Symphony Hall. Heidi has collaborated with a number of outstanding artists including John Perry, Margo Garrett, Leon Fleisher, Charles Castleman and James Buswell. In addition to playing chamber music, Heidi has also worked as an official pianist at Simmons College where she coached singers and instrumentalists at The Quartet Program. During her last year at BU, Heidi organized performances at the BU Medical Center where she performed and interacted with patients.

Heidi has held recitals and masterclasses in Europe and the United States and passionately believes in the transformative power of music. With over ten years of teaching experience, Heidi feels very fortunate to have worked with students of all ages and skill levels teaching a variety of musical genres ranging from classical to pop. Heidi believes that of the advantages of being a pianist is to be able to express something truly unique and personal. Heidi helps her students not only explore their own individual voices through the piano but also provides an example by being an active performer.
