Genres: Classical, Contemporary, Musical Theater, Pop, Rock

Rachel started learning the violin at the early age of three and from that moment she was hooked. She found a love for all disciplines of music; singing in choirs, improvising on the piano, ballet, tap and contemporary dance, and finally, learning the viola. Under the watchful and caring eye of her teacher Professor David Takeno, Rachel graduated with First- Class Honors from ‘Guildhall School of Music and Drama’.
Her curiosity for creating her own music lead her towards composition and production. She earned a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in contemporary performance and production where she obtained her second First- Class Honors.
As a professional violinist and violist, Rachel has performed across the globe with various ensembles and orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, Frisson Ensemble and BandArt Orchestra. Recent highlights include performing as a soloist with the 2022 BAFTA winner and Emmy-nominated documentary "Fearless: The Women Fighting Putin," composed by Joaquin Garcia, and the world premiere of "Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse live in concert" with Daniel Pemberton and The Broadway Sinfonietta in 2023. Rachel was also honored to record "Master Mariner - Dead at Sea" for viola and piano, a composition by Andrew Schultz commissioned by the Australian Music Centre for their national Grade 5 syllabus.
Rachel’s passion for contemporary music can be heard in her compositions both as a member of The Last Dinosaur and as a solo artist under the name la.nskey. Her music has been streamed in the multi-millions and has been broadcast on prestigious radio programs such as BBC Radio 3, 6 music and NPR. In 2017, The Last Dinosaur's second album, "The Nothing," received critical acclaim worldwide, with The Independent hailing it as “an extended meditation on life, death, and memory.”
Throughout her career Rachel has seen teaching music as an extension to her body. Her philosophy is to keep the passion alive and to focus on autonomous practice so her students make quick and consistent progress. Rachel has 100% record with her students achieving distinction in their ABRSM exams and many of them have continued their own careers in music performance.
