Vinicius is a guitarist and composer who was born in São Paulo, Brazil and currently lives in New York. Vinicius explores the dialogue between jazz and Brazilian music, as heard on his debut album, “Resiliência” (2017). His second album, "Changes" is a  collaboration with Spanish saxophonist Santi De la Rubia, and was released in early 2021. His duo album with Korean vocalist SongYi Jeon is also programmed for release in 2021.

Vinicius’s career includes collaborations with saxophonist Seamus Blake, Grammy Award winner drummer Edu Ribeiro’s trio, accordionist Toninho Ferragutti, Mexican singer Magos Herrera, and acclaimed Brazilian singer Zizi Possi. Vinicius performs extensively in Europe, Latin America and the U.S. He has performed with his own project and as a collaborator at venues such as Bimhuis (Amsterdam), Smalls (NY) National Sawdust (NY), Blue Note (NY), JazzForum (NY), Duc Des Lombards (Paris), and Sunset Sunside (Paris).

As an educator, Vinicius has worked as an adjunct teacher at NYU (teaching both music and non-music major students), given lectures at music congresses in Brazil, and has more than 15 years experience teaching students of all levels and ages.
