Zack K. is an award-winning actor, singer, performer, musician, and voice teacher based in New York City. Originally from central Pennsylvania, Zack first came to the city to study at New York University, where he graduated with honors with a degree in Vocal Performance with an Emphasis in Musical Theatre. He studied acting with the Barrow Group and the Wynn Handman Studio.
More recently, Zack has taken to stages across the city and country to play a variety of roles including Eddie Birdlace in Dogfight, John in John & Jen, Sam in Ghost the Musical, Sparky in Forever Plaid, Demetrius in Titus Andronicus, Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Sparky in Forever Plaid, and Anthony in Sweeney Todd, a performance which won him a New York Innovative Theatre Award for Best Supporting Actor. He has sung at Radio City Music Hall, Yankee Stadium, and other incredible venues around the city and country. He recently produced his first-ever solo show in New York City, Group Therapy at The Green Room 42 and is set to release his debut album in early 2026. He is a member of both Actors’ Equity and SAG-AFTRA.
In addition to performing, Zack has over 15 years of experience as an educator to hundreds of students across New York City: teaching private voice, piano, music theory, and acting lessons to students of all ages, working with various organizations to implement arts programming across New York City, and helping to lead workshops with students auditioning for college music and theatre programs. He is a member of the National Association of Singers of Teachers (NATS) and has served as an adjudicator for annual competitions. Zack strives to celebrate the power of self-expression, storytelling, and human connection while emphasizing the importance of efficient, sustainable, and healthy technique.
Regardless of what and where he is teaching, Zack believes strongly in meeting each student where they are and the cultivation of young art-makers, creating environments which allow them to embrace their unique passions and perspectives to become the artists they are destined to be!
