Teaches in English
Carly is from green & sunny Gainesville, FL (Go Gators!), & now happily considers herself a New Yorker. She is very close with her family, hometown friends and pitbull (Tater) so she takes every opportunity she can to visit them and sneak in a beach trip while she’s there! Carly graduated from NYU Tisch where she received her BFA in Drama at the Atlantic Acting Studio, her BS in Educational Theatre through NYU Steinhardt, & a minor in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Studies. She received her Masters of Music in Vocal Performance- Musical Theatre and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy. Through this program, Carly worked as an adjunct professor teaching private voice lessons at NYU, an experience that brought her so much joy!
Carly has been dancing since she was 2, and according to her mother, “came out making noise” and was singing and talking from the very beginning. She started taking voice lessons when she was 6 which inspired a love and passion in her for vocal performance and pedagogy.

Carly has always considered singing her second language, she is a huge advocate for mental health and structures her teaching philosophy around mindfulness and creating a safe space for her students. Carly's studio focuses on efficient, sustainable and joyful singing! Carly strives to cultivate an inclusive, engaging, challenging, spontaneous but structured studio environment where every action is lead with love and passion. She works to create a space where every student feels welcome, regardless of gender, sexuality, religion, background, culture, or beliefs. Meanness is not tolerated. Kindness is required.

During her four years at The Atlantic Acting School, Carly was introduced to both Linklater and Fitzmaurice Voicework. She often incorporates techniques from these methodologies in her own practice and teaching to strengthen the connection between voice, body and mind. Carly ascribes to a speech driven approach to belting (via Mary Saunders Barton) and strongly believes in the importance of cross-training the voice. In lessons, you'll explore what it feels like to step out of your “singing comfort zone.”
Carly's teaching philosophy encourages students to share their unique stories using their most authentic voice. She teaches with patience, compassion and above all else, love.
