In addition to her performance and teaching career, Christy is an active researcher. Her comparative study on piano education was published in IMPES 2023 and has been indexed in CNKI, Scilit, ResearchGate, Google Scholar, and the CPCI database.
Christy’s piano teaching philosophy centers on fostering curiosity, creativity and confidence in every student. She believes that music learning should be student-centered, where students feel ownership of their progress by engaging with repertoire that excites them while also developing essential skills. She aims to balance technical foundations with artistic expression, guiding students to not only play the notes correctly but to connect personally
with the music. Christy's goal is to nurture independent musicians who find joy and meaning in their piano journey, both inside and outside of lessons.
