Devlin is a powerhouse guitarist based in New York City, whose musical journey began at the age of six, inspired by the Classic Rock anthems that filled his childhood home. Over the years, Devlin has mastered a kaleidoscope of genres, from electrifying Rock and intricate Jazz to soulful Bluegrass, weaving them into a distinctive style that’s all his own.
His prodigious talent earned him a place among the elite early on, highlighted by his selection for the 2019 Jazz Band of America and two transformative years as the guitarist for the prestigious Jazz at Lincoln Center Youth Orchestra. During this time, he honed his craft with mentorship from some of the greatest musical minds, including Peter Bernstein, Julian Lage, and Adam Holzman.
Now a sought-after performer, Devlin has taken the stage at iconic NYC venues like Bowery Ballroom, Baby’s All Right, and Mercury Lounge with the rising band Cab Ellis. Known for their sold-out shows and electrifying energy, Cab Ellis has solidified their reputation as a must-see live act, captivating audiences both locally and across the nation on their recent tours.
Beyond the spotlight, Devlin is passionate about inspiring the next generation of musicians. With a personalized and student-driven teaching philosophy, he crafts structured, engaging lessons designed to help students play the music they love. Drawing from his own experiences with exceptional mentors, Devlin finds immense joy in watching his students grow, thrive, and discover their own unique voices.
