Teaches in English and Spanish

Jessica Z. is a pianist, educator, and music therapist originally from Ecuador. She began her musical journey studying Piano Performance at the Conservatory and later earned a Master’s degree in both Music Therapy and Music Education. This unique blend of performance, pedagogy, and therapeutic practice shapes the way she approaches teaching—with artistry, creativity, and a deep commitment to each student’s personal growth.

Bilingual in English and Spanish, Zhunio has worked with children as young as one year old, elementary school students, and older learners in both classroom and private settings. She has extensive experience supporting children with ADHD, autism, and disabilities, believing strongly that music is for everyone and can be a bridge for communication, self-expression, and development. Her inclusive approach ensures her lessons are a safe and welcoming space for all students.

Her teaching style is playful, interactive, and creative. She often incorporates songs, rhythm games, and movement to engage young learners, transforming everyday classroom moments into musical experiences. With older students, she emphasizes strong technical foundations while encouraging improvisation, composition, and personal interpretation. This balance empowers students not only to master their instrument, but also to explore music as a tool for self-discovery.

Jessica's philosophy is rooted in the belief that music is both a discipline and a joy. She adapts her methods to each student’s unique learning style, whether auditory, kinesthetic, or visual. And uses music to help build focus, confidence, and resilience. By connecting emotion and creativity with technical study, she guides students to grow not only as musicians, but as whole individuals.

Ultimately, Jessica’s goal is for every student to leave her lessons feeling inspired, capable, and connected. She believes music has the power to transform lives and is passionate about guiding her students on a journey where they develop not only musical skills, but also confidence, imagination, and a lifelong love of learning.
