Julia E.

Voice, Guitar, Piano

Julia is an American singer, songwriter and baritone ukulelist, whose work has been recognized by the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, The TED Organization, and The Contemporary A Cappella Society of America, among others.

Born into a musical family, Julia’s mother's singing and the gift of a piano from her grandfather were major factors in her musical development. She studied world music, jazz and opera before attending Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship.

She has collaborated with internationally renowned artists, including Bobby McFerrin, Jacob Collier, Vieux Farka Touré, Bill T. Jones, Kris Bowers, and Livingston Taylor. Julia has also been featured as a composer and vocalist with Mason Jar Music for The New York Times. 

Julia teaches everything from one-on-one lessons with beginner students to advanced workshop settings with scholars and aspiring artists. Her teaching style is playful and tailored to each environment, and she often incorporates technology and composition into her lessons.
