Julia H.

Violin/fiddle

Genres: Classical, Contemporary, Folk, Rock, Irish

    

Julia is an NYC-based violinist/fiddler, performer, Music Director and educator. She has performed with various Broadway Tours and regional houses all over the globe. Some of her favorite credits include: Once the Musical (U/S Girl, Reza and Ex-Girlfriend) Rockin' Road to Dublin (Female Fiddler), Cirque Musica: Holiday Wishes (Flying Violinist), Christmas in Killarney (Fiddler). Julia also played violin and sang for the Hershey Symphony and Harrisburg Symphony Orchestras.

 

Julia plays and sings with multiple bands throughout New York City and along the East Coast. She has been seen in TV shows and performed with many artists at top venues all over NYC, such as: Hailee Steinfeld, Glen Hansard, Marketa Iglova, The Swell Season, Radio City Music Hall and Sony Hall. 

 

Julia comes from a very artistic family. Her dad was a high school choir director for thirty-five years and her mom is a dancer/choreographer with her own dance company in Philadelphia. Julia quickly caught the bug for all things music and theater at a very young age! 

Along with her extensive performance background, Julia has been teaching private music lessons and has music-directed for over ten years. Julia has previously developed curriculum for the Allenberry Professional Theatre Conservatory, where she was also a Music Director and Teaching Artist.

 

Julia believes in creating a safe space for her students to explore, grow and take risks. She teaches many different styles and genres of music at all levels! Julia nurtures a love for music while cultivating healthy practice techniques. Music is Julia's love language and she loves to share it with others. She would love to help you or your student by tailoring lessons to meet any needs and goals. She can’t wait to work with you!
