Based in New York, Sebastian K. is an acclaimed virtuoso pianist, ensemblist, and instructor.

His upcoming appearances for the 2025-2026 Season include a solo presentation at the Guggenheim Museum, a collaboration with King Charles III's advisor-poet Grahame Davies, and several solo recitals. In New York, he has performed at Weill Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, OPERA America, the Riverside Theatre, and at Hunter College and New York University. Though his expertise is in classical music, Sebastian has also appeared in contemporary settings, including as a guest pianist in the Fifth House Ensemble's PlayStation JourneyLIVE experience and for Twentieth Century Fox Productions as a red carpet pianist for The Peanuts Movie.

Sebastian trained at the San Francisco Conservatory and New York University (NYU), where he earned that college's top music prize and now serves on the adjunct faculty for functional Keyboard Skills. His principal teacher in San Francisco was Corey McVicar, and in New York he studied with Jeffrey Swann; Louis Karchin was another important mentor.

As a teacher, Sebastian motivates students to be fearless—to embrace "failing forward" with humor and grace! He's been there many times and has never regretted it.

Away from the piano, Sebastian is the Administrative Director of Soyulla Artists.
