Teaches in English

Steven B. is a dynamic and versatile performer, vocalist, and educator whose lifelong passion for music and storytelling has taken him from intimate cabaret stages to international theaters entertaining thousands. A natural-born performer, Steven began singing and acting at a young age, embarking on his first professional opportunities shortly after a brief child acting career. By the age of fifteen, he knew that the stage was where he truly belonged.

Steven holds a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre from The Catholic University of America, where he honed his craft under the guidance of esteemed mentors such as Marc Bryan Lilley, Arianna Zukerman, and Frank Schiro. His training encompassed a rich foundation in vocal performance, acting, and dance — including five years of tap, as well as ballet, jazz, and movement work rooted in Viewpoints and Uta Hagen technique. He furthered his studies at the Rider Musical Theatre Institute, and later at New York City’s prestigious Open Jar Institute, where he worked with industry leaders James Gray, Stacia Fernandez, and Jeff Whiting.

As a performer, Steven’s career spans a remarkable range of styles and venues. He has captivated audiences as a principal soloist aboard Celebrity Cruises and AIDA Cruises, where he starred in Broken Strings, Rock the Concert, and Musical Magic. His high-energy performances with Who Loves You: A Tribute to Frankie Valli under Sharon Klein Productions showcased his powerful tenor voice and commanding stage presence. On land, Steven has appeared in acclaimed regional productions including Kinky Boots (Hangar Theatre, dir. Gerry McIntyre), Little Shop of Horrors (Broadhollow Theatre Company), Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again. (Hangar Theatre), and Into the Woods (Montgomery College Summer Dinner Theatre). His credits also include Celtic Fyre at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, as well as concert performances at the Kennedy Center and Arena Stage for Bernstein at 100 and Rodgers and Hart, respectively.

As an educator, Steven brings this same passion and professionalism into his teaching. He believes that singing is the most natural and human form of artistic expression, a direct channel of emotion, creativity, and individuality. His studio philosophy balances rigor with joy: students are encouraged to challenge themselves and grow, but in a supportive, laughter-filled environment where learning is never stressful. “When we have fun,” Steven says, “we do our best work.”

Steven’s approach combines his deep technical training with an intuitive understanding of each student’s unique voice and personality. He emphasizes exploration over perfection, believing that when students reconnect with the joy of making music, the technique naturally follows. His goal is to help every singer, from beginner to advanced, discover their authentic sound, confidence, and artistic voice.
